RAHIM YAR KHAN

The Emaan Village

Working in conjunction with Human Appeal International, money raised to date has not only built a brand new village for the people of Rahim Yar Khan, south of Punjab in Pakistan, but it also provided essential life-saving water purifiers in the immediate aftermath of the devastating floods in 2010.

The new village, which has officially been named ‘The Emaan Village’, consists of 60 homes, a deep tube well for clean drinking water, in addition to livestock that has enabled the village to become self-sufficient.

Biogas plants have resolved the problem of energy shortages in the area providing electricity to various households.
