Golfing event boosts fundraising past the £80K mark

Another successful event has further boosted funds for The Emaan Foundation.

Due to the phenomenal success of its first golfing event which took place at Beamish Park Golf Club in Stanley, County Durham in July, charity founder and local businessman, Nas Khan, decided to host another event at the same Golf Club.

Six teams consisting of business customers and staff from Jennings Motor Group, teed off for an afternoon of birdies, bogies and eagles and later retired to the Clubhouse for refreshments.

More than £700 was raised on the day which has boosted fundraising past the £80K mark and taken funds a step closer to the £120K target.

Once in place, the money will complete the construction of a new village for the people of Rahim Yar Khan who were affected by the devastating floods in Pakistan last summer.  The village will consist of 60 new homes, a deep tube well and livestock.

Don’t forget there’s still time to purchase a ticket for the charity’s Ford Ka raffle.  Only 300 tickets have been printed and each ticket costs £50 each.  If you would like to purchase a ticket for the car raffle, contact Bev Stephenson on 01642 209113 or to make a donation to the charity click on ‘donate now’ at the top of the page.
