The latest charity drive for The Emaan Foundation, has taken fundraising past the £20K mark.

A team of 18 generous participants and keen golfers teed off for an afternoon of birdies, bogies andeagles at Teesside Golf Club on Acklam Road in Thornaby and, at the same, raised a grand total of £5052 for the charity’s second fundraising appeal.

Members of staff at Jennings Motor Group and a number of the company’s suppliers and contractors, enjoyed anafternoon on the golf course and later retired to the Clubhouse where they enjoyed a meal and refreshments.

Nas Khan, founder of The EmaanFoundation and managing director of Jennings Motor Group said: “This is the fourth consecutive year we have organised the golf event, which has grown substantially over the years, as well as the amount we have raised each year.

“On behalf of The Emaan Foundation, I would like to thank everyone who has participated in the event and contributed towards our fundraising appeal, we simply couldn’t do it without their on-going generous support.”

Last year, a second appeal wasset up by the charity with the aim to build a health centre for the peopleliving in the area Rahim Yar Khan, which has been named The Emaan Village.  Working in conjunction with international aid organisation, Human Appeal, the new health centre will help those people living in the village who currently have to travel hundreds of miles to receive basic medical treatment.
